All sales are on the understanding that all goods in possession by BCR remain the property of BCR until full payment has been received/cleared.
All New goods/parts carry a ‘Return to Base’ 12 months Parts and Labour Warranty (Not insurance backed) from the date of invoice unless superseded by a Manufacturer’s Warranty. Refurbished Goods carry a 90 day labour only Warranty (Not insurance backed) from date of invoice. Second User goods (marked SU) come with No Warranty given or implied. Software faults are not covered under any warrantys.
BCR operates on a Fixed Fee basis, by definition the fixed fee remains the same regardless of repair duration or labour involved. The Fixed Fee is only supplemented where a physical part is required in which case the cost of the part is in addition to the Fixed Fee.
Any quote given is on an ‘In current condition’ basis, if the device leaves the premises, a re-quote may be necessary. If a quote is accepted and work completed, BCR cannot be held responsible for any unrelated faults that present themselves.
All work carried out by BCR comes with a 90 day labour only Warranty (Not insurance backed). BCR’s Labour Warranty does NOT apply in any instance where there is any Virus/Malware/Software which has caused fault.
Payments may be made via Cash, or Card in store. The full balance is payable upon presentation of the invoice. Other terms may be arranged, in writing, prior to any work being carried out at the Customers request.
Any redundant Hardware (e.g. old PC, Laptop, Hard Drive) will be disposed of or recycled unless the customer would like it returned.
It is the Customers responsibility to ensure any media/accessories left in the possession of BCR are accounted for before and after any work is carried out.
BCR respects the Privacy of its Customers and no data (physical or digital) will be passed on or stored without authorisation of the Customer except in the instance of any data recovered from a faulty drive where it will be securely stored for 30 days to give the Customer adequate time to ensure it is backed up safely and prevent permanent loss.
BCR does aim for a ‘Same Day’ service but this cannot always be adhered to due to availability of parts and/or time constraints. The Customer will be given a rough approximation of repair duration upon booking the device in and updated as the repair progresses.
While every care and precaution is taken to prevent data loss, BCR cannot make any guarantees as to the integrity or safety of any data while any work is being carried out, especially in the instance of Virus Removal. We recommend all data to be backed up prior to BCR taking possession of the device as BCR cannot be held responsible for any Loss of Data or Earnings as a result of a fault beyond our reasonable control.
In relation to section ‘12’ I, the Customer, understand that on occasion during testing parts can fail and BCR cannot be held responsible for this unless due to our negligence.
Any Complaint must be received in writing by BCR within reasonable time. The Customer will receive a response within 5 working days and a brief outline of how BCR intends to rectify the situation. BCR aims to rectify all complaints within 10 working days but allowances must be made for situations beyond BCR’s control. If the Customer requires a third party then BCR can provide a 3rd party independent consultancy from the company below.
BCR reserves the right to contact the Customer by newsletter on occasion unless requested not to by the Customer. This will be infrequent and will be reminding customers of expiring warranties or special offers.
No refund will be given unless there is a breach of contract. Any returns will be offered a direct replacement or a Credit Note which can be used for full or part payment in store at 24 St Leonards Road. For Credit Note purchases, no cash is given where the credit note exceeds the value of the transaction, a further credit note will be issued.
This agreement does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. The goods we supply must:
• match the description we gave them; • be of satisfactory quality; and • be fit for their purpose.’
Work should be carried out to a reasonable standard. You should contact your local authority Trading Standards Service or Citizens Advice Bureau if you need any more information about your statutory rights.’
